Video and Waveform (audio) weird problem.!

I try to get some help with this but no one reply in the help section so i figure it will be alot easier here (i hope its ok)
Hardware: Macbook Pro (new model)
SSL 1.9 and Video SL 1.1. (using sl1)
Problem:
While playing video A the video will dissapear in the middle of the song and the audio wave form too right after, i switch to video B right away and 10 sec later same thing happen, i try to load another video and cpu froze for like 3 or 4 sec then stared to play the video without any problems after that, that happen once on thursday and once on friday, last night no problems and i have had play those videos before without problems.

I just bought a 1 ter firewire 800 ext hd for my videos, see if that solves the problem.
Anyone experience anything like this before?

Also using a mac pro and I'm playing off a terrabyte firewire 800 too and had the same issue, the wave form just vanishes... It happened two nights on the trot last month, but it's not happened since i installed perian, been fine since then... Try it

this happened to me. i see it as an interupted download. so i download the same video again from the same site then replace the video file. after that never happened.

i have perian install, all video files play fine, i had play those sames files before without any problems.

not sure what else. but that has been my solution so far. if it only happened once with one and didnt happen agin with the same file then it should be ok. just make sure your external hd is completley off after ejection to unplug it. i didnt let my hd shut down all the way after ejection one time and this happened

thank you, last night nothing happen and i did play the same videos again ( even though i was a lil scare lol) but everything work ok,

Is hard to pin point the problem, but i will keep you guys post it if it happens again.
