What is safe CPU usage while running videos?

My computer is just within specs to run SSL video. At first my cpu usage was at 100% while playing 2 videos at once. Now that I upgraded to 3gigs of ram and eliminated many usless processes in msconfig I am at 45-60% of cpu usage while running 2 videos. Is this a safe percentage to be at? I have been testing my system by running it for hours while under load to see if it will crash. It went for 8 hours straight with 100% cpu usage and everything was fine. So, I think I should be good for my first video gig tomorrow night. Any advice?

what are your pc's specs?
if you are not currently experiencing choppy video and dropouts i think you will be fine.
just be sure to disable ur wifi and anti-virus.

Also make sure to set your process priority to background services (as recommended by Serato) so if you DO hit 100% your video will suffer and never your audio.
Smooth video is of no use if you have choppy audio

I had the video gig on Saturday. My video cut out halfway through my set. I am fortunate that my computer didnt crash and my audio kept going. I played everything off well, and the club owner was understanding enough to know that shit happens. I kept the place hype even when the video cut out, so everything worked out. I just got a Macbook so hopefully this wont happen again.

You should have got a Macbook Pro. You cannot cut corners when doing video.

Yeah, I know. I had to work within my budget. I plan on getting a Macbook Pro in the somewhat near future. Hopefully this will work until then. Anyone having problems running video with their macbooks? Let me konw what kinda problems to expect, if any.
