I haven't seen this talked about much on here, but I think we need it

What are the best picks of projectors within these ranges.
$0-$500
$501-$700
$701-$1000
$1001 and beyond

obviously the ranges can change, bu just to get some sort of idea going

over 1k I say go with Benq mp771. High lumens and its short throw.

What about video djing on a budget, like under $600 for a decent projector.

Tough call. Most of the stuff in this price range is underpowered. These projectors are mainly made for small boardrooms rather than club settings.

then also factor in the lower cost projectors will need a much longer throw. its hard to setup a 13 foot throw to fill a screen most of the time.

i got an epson when circuit city was going out of buisness for about $350 2200 lumens and has worked in clubs, weddings, bars, board rooms everywhere. they have them on sale at stales all the time. just get something 2000 lumens or more and your good. of course if you plan on doing huge venues with 40' screens or so then you will def need to save up and get a bigger lumen projector. most now a days are 2000 lumens or more so its just personal prefferance on brand etc.
