Greetings.....just got my 57 and im lovin it except.....for some strange reason every 5 mins the group buttons flash by themselves, the only thing i can do is hit the first one to stop them flashin.. i cant select my tracks or anything when this happens and i beleive that it is causing a clitch when recording that is not noticable when im mixing...

Any advice?

So this also happens every 5 mins when you just leave your mixer and turntables w/o touching them?

The group buttons seem to flash when im in the middle of mixing...like every 5mins or so...
The clitch is not audible through the playback sound system..but when i record a mix (via sound forge, edirol da2496) there is a really bad glitch you can hear every 2 mins or so...
i kinda think that it is caused by the group flashin thing...
what do you think?

Well, you didnt answer my question whether this is reproducable without any interaction from you shedding some light on the question if this is really a periodically occuring issue.

Just curious... are you recording with the software on the same machine? It could be some flushing to disk causing some USB dropout problem. Do you see the USB dropout indicater at all? Also.. just curios, why dont you use the internal recording mix functionality of SSL + TTM57?

They seem to flash every 5 mins weather im mixing or not, i have i feelin that it is an issue with the mixer and it is actually this issue that is stopping me from using the internal recording function...i cant access the record button at all as all the groups start flashin!

You mean, when you try the internal recording the group starts flashing?

Yes they start flashin without even as much as breathin on the thing...its like its possesed.........

mm101, does it happen if Scratch LIVE is not connected? i.e. the mixer is not connected to the laptop?

Can you please try version 1.6.1 -> www.scratchlive.net and let us know if it still happens?

I havent tried without it hooked up to a computer...i will give this a go tonight...if that doesnt help i will try the next version (1.6.1)......... thanks guys..

hello everyone
swapped my 56 for a TTM57 in June and it's been great
however - i do get USB audio dropouts (the USB light comes on and a crackle or weird audio glitch plays thru the system on - 12" powerbook with or without my 1200's controlling the music
i digitze music thru the 57 and into PEAK and get some of the weird computer farts over the files as somebody else here described
hopefully these glitches will be fixed in a newer version -unless somebody knows that i have something set wrong

other than that is is an excellent product - i just need it to run 100%
