sup guys..

i'm new to video encoding...i have a macbook pro 2.4 ghz core 2 duo with 4 gigz of ram.. i have been encoding all my vob's video as follows ....

elgato turbo H.264
apple tv setting
720x480-size
4.3- aspect ratio
auto- overscan
29.97- fps
4000-
48,00- khz
stereo
160- kbpr
everything has been working well so far! a friend gave me videos that are mpeg1 muxed 320x240... should i encode them with the same setting or should i use the iPod setting witch is..

Standard Video: H.264 Baseline Profile (up to Level 1.3), 768 kbps max. 320x240 max., 30 fps max. Audio: AAC-LC, stereo, 128 Kbps, 48 kHz.

as i said the apple tv setting works well for me but it does take some time.......the iPod setting seems to move a little faster so would using the iPod setting be better/worse...and will it put more or less stress on my computer?? i think i read something that said the more you compress a file the harder the computer works

thanks!!!!!!
