Does anyone know of a good video batch file converter

Im looking for a good video batch file converter to convert all of my videos to mpeg4. Most of the software I have tried exports all of the videos into one long video. I am looking for something that seperates the tracks when exported. I am using a pc by the way.

I was just about to post up some recommendations, until I read that last sentence. I don't use a pc for video encoding.

Swift,
I was turned on to Mpeg streamclip to batch convert MPEG2 files. I was wondering if you would share your settings to get the best out of these conversions? I am also having some issues with some files not playing the music after conversion h.264 mpeg4? Any idea how to get this to work? The audio is there in the mpeg 2.
Thanks,
Eric

i don't use mpegstreamclip to batch convert so i don't think i'd be much help here. i use ffmpeg.
some people do strange and stupid things when creating their video files. these are most likely the kind of files that you are having trouble converting.
my recommendation is to use some kind of program that will print out settings for ALL your files that you want to convert. find the files in that print out that have whacky audio settings. fix them to conform to how the other files look. now do your batch conversion.
you will have better luck this way.
