Bought a NEW Macbook pro then a week later this????

I don't know what to think about this hehehe, i just bought my macbook pro after months of saving money, paid 2799 for it + tax of course, a week later i see that apple releases the new macbook pros with more hd (500gig now) and 2.8gig dual core instead of 2.66 looks like same video card and memory, i called apple and they said that sales people didn't know about this, that in fact no one knows when they will be releasing new cpus, so if i want to get the new one i have 14 days (which i have 4 days left) but i have to pay 10% re stocking fee, if you do the math i will be fine since the new one is 2499 (they dropped the price 300dls) but i feel like ive been cheater some how!

feel free to comment suggest what to do.

Yeah man that happened to me awhile back. Check this site for updates. There pretty good about predicting when Mac stuff is dropping. I always buy refurbished now.

YOu should have two weeks before you can't do anything. They should at least credit you the difference in money.
It's always best to wait for the new ones to release and then buy the old models on apples website. Huge savings, sometimes almost a grand off.

That's why I waited for the wdcc. If it helps macs get released about every 6 mos. but every time they put out a new version they take a little longer. This time it was more like 9 mos.

If it make you feel better I just ordered one of the new line macbook pros : ) J/k

ok i just wanna update, i went to the apple store and they were AWESOME give me a new macbook pro and money back :) the manager was very cool :)

and guess what it roxx :)

I cant wait till in like another 18 to 24 months when like the new new macbook pros come out and I'll get one... By then specs like high speed quad core processors, 8, if not 16 gigs of ram will be out, graphics cards may support hd video, who knows what possibilities can be made reality in that time.

Yeah man that's why I got the 1199 macbook pro. I was going to get the highest macbook pro but I'm waiting for the new quad cores to come out. (Let's just say I know a friend. . .lol ; ) )
I would say in less then 18 mos BTW.

ya but I want to wait for somethig signifcantly better than what I have lik I got the 2.6, with 4 gb of ram...
I want perfection when I by my next one... HD video capable, n like idk well u get the idea... I want my next laptop to last 3 to 5 years
