This is the Serato.com style btw. I knew it was coming to scratchlive.net but I didn't know when.

I actually just noticed that when I couldn't get on here, was trying to get me to login to see the homepage of the site. Checked at the serato.com site and noticed scratchlive.net updates 'soon'
Is it just me or is this a LOT faster?

It is a lot faster. The other one was ancient. The other cool thing bout this is that for any threads that are long, it only shows the last few posts. Easier on phones and such.

I guess that means less time waiting for the:
"You DJ so bad" and "Most rediculous comment" threads to load....Perfect.

You'll also notice that new messages in a thread appear automagically without a page reload.
Also, there's a nifty inline video player for Youtube and Vimeo movies. And you can now hide entire sections in the forum area view.
Dave's going to write up all the changes in a forum post soon.
Hope you guys like the changes.

Looking good to me, I like the live updating and that I can now hide all the multilanguage forums.
Was thinking it might be nice to be able to hide the sticky threads in the same way. In some forums they do take up a heap of space at the top.

Being able to ignore stickies kinda defeats the purpose of them.
Maybe we just have too many?!

Is it just me or is this a LOT faster? We've done lots of optimizations to the new forum code. Time will tell how much of a difference they've made.

So far it's been a huge difference to me, and no jams like I used to get. Maybe once every 10-15 minutes loading a page would take about 30 seconds, that doesn't happen anymore.

That may still happen, but hopefully less often. If people want those 30 second pauses in place, i'm sure i could oblige them Dave.
Personally, i'm happy those days are gone.

I'd pour some liquor for the passed homey, but I'm cheap.
It'll take some getting used to.

But can you now edit your comments? No.

Any chance of adding that feature?Maybe. This has been discussed many times. There are good reasons for NOT allowing editing of posts, but there are good reasons for it too.
It's a commonly requested feature so it's under consideration.
