Editing Radio Mix Video to Extended Mix Audio

Hi. I haven't actually purchased VSL yet but I am currently collecting music videos and getting a library built. I am mostly ripping DVDs with Handbrake. I play electro & progressive house. Most of the videos are radio mixes but I have the extended mix songs that I would like to use with them. Basically, I realize this is going to take some chopping and editing and I'm sure the main key is to be creative. I have Final Cut Express. I am curious if many of you have already been editing for this purpose. Is it best to edit the video and "pack" it with the extended mp3 into an mp4 before importing to SSL? Or, is it best to prepare and import the video, then associate it with the mp3 in SSL? I am just curious about this stage of the preparation and am hoping to be pointed toward some resources that I haven't found in searches. Any workflow tips, do's don'ts... Or any helpful info will be appreciated. Thanks!

Swift did a great tutorial on FCP that actually makes it pretty easy to do edits. Try to search for it.

I couldn't find the tutorial by Swift mentioned above. However, here is what I have found so far. I am working with Final Cut Express 3.5 which does not seem to be able to import mp4s. So the DVDs I ripped via Handbrake and Serato's preset would not import to Final Cut for editing. I found a software that rips DVDs to DV video ready for Final Cut. It is called DVDxDV and costs $25. I can then import the video and do the edits. It seems I can actually export directly from Final Cut with the recommended settings for Serato, ie. the same settings that is in their Handbrake preset.
Anyone who has any tips or workflow enhancements... Please chime in!

search "FCP sessions" in the Video SL forum and you will find A-Swift's tutorial. It tells you all the programs you need to rip, convert and render. I think most of them are free as well. Why are you trying to edit MP4s? The quality is not gonna be that great after you re-render.
