Rane 64 > wet/dry delay control for DJM style beat chopping possible?

Ben_Binary 12:22 PM - 5 July, 2015
Hello,

Is it possible to setup the echo effect to have control over the wet/dry mix?

I want to use the echo to switch from dry to wet for chopping up beats.
The beat playing dry then cut to the 100% wet delay for beat chopping.
eg. add extra snares or kicks for drum fills but sharp without echo tails.

On the Pioneer DJMs > you can control the wet/dry for delay and switch between 100%dry to 100%wet signal for chopping up beats.

I think its a difference between them as the pre-fader or post fader settings?

(I want to use the hardware fx in the mixer so I can use this with a drum machine)

Thanks

Hey Ben,

There aren't separate controls for the wet/dry and feedback.
The depth knob controls both functions.
So you won't be able to go 100% wet without getting a long tail.

Hey Zach,

Thats all good if i can:

Cut quickly from 0% to 100% then back to 0% > hear no effect when I return to 0%

That allows me to chop up beats :)

Does that work?

Thanks

Yes.. 0 equals no effect added.

Not sure what sound you're after but try it out:)
