Stiff Rane 62 Crossfader

I noticed my X fader has a bit of resistance compared to the upfaders which are super loose move freely...just how i like it.

what can i do to the crossfader to make it loose

Thanks. I just googled the lube on Amazon.co.uk but its not available on this side of the pond.

Not sure if you can get it in uk (yet).

I use the stuff rane used to recommend as its all I could get in uk.

"Caig’s DeoxIT Fader Lube"

Be good if they could get some of the new stuff over to the uk distributor (Sennheiser).


TBH tho the old stuff worked fine for years with me.

You definitely want the silicon based Teflon lube.
You also need to make sure you clean the old lubricant off the rails of the faders before applying the new lube. Read that article above for full instruction.

As for finding that lubricant or a similar one in the UK I would suggest contacting Sennheiser and asking them what lube they use and where they get it.
