I was just wondering now that some people are hyped up about TTM57 being released soon, would anyone willing to trade in their SSL for TTM57?
By the way, Version 1.5 kicks so much ass!!!!

As much as I'd love to buy a TTM57, I can't justify getting one. Why? Well, I feel it's much easier and less intrusive (arrogant?) to come in and hook up my SL1 to someone elses setup (club, party, whatever) than to come in and ask for my own mixer to be hooked up.
Even if the SL1 can work with the TTM57 version Serato software, the loss of features when I take my SL1 on the road negates the value of having the TTM57 (for me).
Running both a SSL and a TTM57 is also a little extravagant.
Can someone confirm if the SL1 works on the TTM57 version of SSL?

Well if you travel around to different clubs all the time, it might be more intrusive for you to hook up a whole new mixer instead of just the scratchamp. However, you are already swapping out cables anyway, but true with the mixer its more cables.
For mobile dj's or bedroom dj's I think the TTM57SL is perfect. One less thing to carry around and have to worry about and also gives you more channels to work with.
Maybe you'll start seeing clubs install the TTM57SL so that in the future you can ask ahead and only have to bring your laptop. Alot of clubs might have their own mixer preference, so for them, the scratchamp would be easier?
Its really tough to say :)

Perhaps it will become a DJ "standard" tool similar to the legacy of the tech.... when it does, I then might spring for the 57 mixer, but having 2 SSL standalone units already, the thought of a third all built-in, just gives me chills....

Isn't May 21 a Sunday? That doesn't seem a very likely date for anything to happen on.

I have been bringing my own mixer to clubs for over a year, and since I like to show up before the club opens for a sound check, there is usually no problem. Sometimes the club has a permanent install mixer, and I have to use theirs, but again, showing up early lets me hook up the SL1 interface without there being a critical need to get it done in 30 seconds in a dark club environment.
I foresee no issue with the 57, either. I will bring the 57, and if the set-up at the club doesn't allow a mixer swap, I plan on keeping my SL1 box in my laptop bag, so I will have it with me just in case. :-)

No, but I can confirm May 19.
Sweet, I can't wait.
Can someone please fix my access to the "Serato-setup picture thread" located here www.scratchlive.net
I have not been able to access this part of the site for some time now. All I get is a blank page.
The reason I ask is because I won't be able to see or post photos of the new TTM 57!!!!!!
Thanks for the assistance and the great news!!!!!!
