SL1 dj considering to upgrade to Video SL

I've been using scratch live SL1 for just over 2 years now, and looking to upgrade to video SL... however,

after looking at the faq's, in one faq: it says video sl can be used with the SL1 & SL3 interfaces as well as the ttm57,
but then another faq says it cant?

so... if ive got my new macbook plus SL1 box, what do i need to upgrade to video sl?

I understand its recommended top get the ttm57, bt if i can use video SL with my SL1 that would be benefitial and cost effective... bt wud it work?

and how wud this work in a club with screens/projectors cause looking a tthe diagrams, wheres the video outputs on either the video SL or the TTM57SL mixer?cause i cant see them?!

Video SL will be available for SL1 and SL3 when the next version is released.
To use them you will need a midicontroller to control the video.
The video output is on the computer, not the Sl1 och TTM57SL.. :)

thanks for that, so currently, if i was to purchase the video SL i wudnt be able to mix video's just with my sl 1?:(

I beleive you can but only via a beta version, which obviously isn't recommended for playing out.

If u can buy the 57, it makes all so much simpler......what is also overlooked, the 57 is also like a mouse, u need not touch your laptop all is controlled on the 57

Yeah. The TTM57 is the only way to go if your mixing videos. The only other options is after 1.9 is fully released is to have a mixer that is midi compatible. Those would be the two easiest ways.

kk kool, sounds good, but missions carrying a mixer around specially when dj'ing in different clubs on different days, specially wheen ur trying to hook up a mixer to the house mixer! wuda been good is it cud all work thru the sl 1....

come on serato fix up!lol

The Rane SL 1 and SL 3 will work with Video-SL so long as you use Video-SL 1.1 and Scratch Live 1.9.

Both of these releases are currently in beta but are very close to a final release.
