Hey all,
Just a general question on the videos that everyone is converting to or downloading. What is the average size of one video overall? Most of the ones that I have converted are around 30MB to 60MB per Music Video. Anyone been able to make them smaller or with a better bitrate for sound quality? The Handbrake has been packin them at about 160kps for sampling. Any other program have a higher bitrate?

my videos are like 80-120mb... not too sure if that's normal. but i want some good quality vids. i think if you use visual hub or streamclip you can up the bitrate. but i'm no expert

That's normal, daddydog. I typically use between 2500 and 3000 kbps for my videos and 320 kbps AAC for my audio.

Your keyframes are pretty low. Avg should be at least 25.
Also why is the video 615x400?
You need to see what the bitrate of the file is, try using quicktime to show you.

This compression that I used for these tracks have predictive movement in the script ( From what I understand). According to the program designers from handbrake, this allows you to pack in more quality in the video without the huge size. The only time you will notice some pixelation is when you live stream your video to a VGA terminal. Most of the applications I used have been either S-Video out or RCA ( Yellow ). The Video also is cropped on the sides to prevent the additional space it requires to hand a black background that would take space also when converted.
The only thing now for me is trying to get a better bit rate for the sound. If you play this really loud with the 160Kbps sound, the bass doesn't have the "Punch" you would get from a 320Kbps track.
Also, where in quicktime can you see the Bitrate?

Yeah seems really low. I wouldn't go below 2K, actually mine are all at 2500 and my newer edits are at 3K.
