Technically, I dont think that will work. Cause how will the program know where the crossfader is at? Especially when your scratching and performing quick chirps with the echo effect on.

For me it could be useful to send FX out to the RETURN FX connection in mixers that don't have effects. As you say this does not allow to have all the fx functionality but it's better than nothing.
