Thanks for getting in touch,
OSX 10.9.5 should not be the cause of this issue, its running fine for most others.

Try the following,

1. Close Serato DJ.
2. Navigate to your APPLICATIONS / UTILITIES folder.
3. In this folder you will see a program called "AUDIO MIDI SETUP" open it.
4. On your mac top task bar click the drop down menu WINDOW and select "MIDI WINDOW"
5. Locate your Pioneer DDJ-SX in this window, click it, then select REMOVE Device.
6. Plug in your DDJ-SX and power it ON.
7. Launch Serato DJ.

Does your DDJ-SX now connect correctly with Serato DJ?

all i needed initially was to download the mixed in key which needed 10.7 or better

is there any bugs or issues i should be aware of of the 10.9.5?

Nope there are no bugs I am aware of that relate specifically to 10.9.5

when i open the app it crashes the computer every time

I get a black screen and have to reboot

salve a tutti, ho da poco comprato pioneer ddj sb,ho installato serato sul mio macbook pro Osx 10.9.5 e mi spunta hardware disconnected,potete aiutarmi?
ho fatto pure la prova di spegnere il wi-fi,il bluetooth ma mi da sempre lo stesso problema...
