i know the current beta is near completion and is pretty much set in stone, feature-wise....so perhaps for the next version?
similar to ikutz's fx. i think he was sayin that another vid is inserted when reversing? how about just a simple image inverse? or maybe a negative effect?

yes, but does the video automatically engage negative when you pull the CV backwards?

there could be a lot of cool things like that... Mirror image on reverse, zoomed image, posterize etc...

yes, there could....or how about a skratch effect which lets u choose which of those fx u want on pullback?
the zoom made me think of another....related to the pulsate effect i asked for earlier...when the record is pushed forward (sped up), the image fisheyes outwards. the faster the speed in the forward direction, the bigger the fisheye effect. and when the record is pulled backwards, the image is "sucked" in. of course, the faster you go in reverse, the deeper the image is sucked in. when skratching, the image will pulsate in and out. how far it goes in/out depends on how fast you control the record. i would think the effect threshhold would coincide with the timing of when the key lock engages to know when a user is skratching. during regular play or if just holding the record, the image is unaffected.
