I should clarify. It does work better than most PC's only for the fact it generally works out of the box. But like I said before. dont expect high FPS, you wont be able to run HD videos (which that alone should make you run) and you may limited effects. Also give Mixemergency a try.

Well I can't confirm personally, But many other have said ME performs better than Serato Video on the same computer.

One last thing. You should be on OSX 10.8 or 10.9 for video. 10.7 will not perform as well as the new ones, and 10.6 is now loosing support from many programs including Serato.

Cool that a powerful machine. The problem with 13" mac book pros is that they lack a dedicated video card. Serato video and ME are both setup to run best on machines with dedicated video cards. Not built in intel chips. The SSD might help you to run videos ok, but 480gb is not very big once you get into videos.

it's enough for me :)
i just tried ME, and it does run better, i did a 10 min' test with 2ms buffer and 50% video quality and it's ok. much better then Serato Video.
The only problem now is it's 150$ :)

Thats cheap! ME will be the best money a video DJ could ever spend.

I have a 2009 13" MBP that I can still run video on with ME (No effects) but will not work with SV at all now with HD content ... As far as as "making" videos I personally use final cut X for my video edits
Also the $150 is cheap and an AMAZING investment
