Me and my brother both have scratch live. He has bought a bunch of videos from I tunes and we are trying to copy it to my computer (mac to pc). He is telling me that I tunes stuff can't be moved to another HD or copied to disc.. Anyway to get around this so we can keep our librarys up to date? I am not too familiar with I tunes.. Thanks

If they are DRM free then you can move them and use them. If not then you are going t have to jump through some hoops to make it work. Either way what you are asking is illegal as you are file sharing.

i think you can legally authorize 5 machines in itunes. since it's your bro and i'm guessing in the same household, i don't really see an issue. i haven't looked closely at the terms so i could be wrong.

we will have to check it out. we both own the entertaiment company so i don't consider it file sharing. He just happened to purchase a bunch of videos on I tunes in the past few months and we are tyring to update our company library.. thanks for the reply

i think as its your brother and its in the same household then you should ask itune to tell how as you can have 2 computers belong to him and you are just using one.i dont think its illegal unless its file sharing.i never come cross this but to my case i always owned a pc which i still have, then i bought a mac book pro , so my wife is using the pc now.whatever i get as music or videos in my macbook it goes to the pc.ok in one way she is having everything but in the other way i am not breaking the law as its my pc and i let her use it. problem solved.

itunes videos are protected by drm. you can authorize up to 5 computers for a single itms account. obviously your brothers computer is authorized since he downloaded the videos and they play fine for him. in order for you to be able to play the videos, authorize your computer.

open itunes. login to the itms. the go to the store menu and choose authorize computer.

easy. peezy. thanks a-sweezy.
