Hey - Video plugin for SSL 1 box is near so I have one question about software. I want to make my own videos from pictures, and some visuals, movies etc, and I'm lookin' for application that allow me to set up video project in bpm not fps. I've tried some music soft like Acid or Live but that's not it, they don't have enough video editing options, filters, transitions etc. I need something easy like Vegas but version I tried (Vegas 6)didn't have that option (or I'm stupid and/or blind).
I want to load audio
Set project tempo like 110 bpm
Project visual grid is set up to tempo
start mashing the videos,
render as mpg or avi
I'm kind of newbie in the world of video, but I saw perfectly synced home made videos and pre made visuals, so I hope someone of You Can give me more answer than "Just cut up the video, zoom and paste, and again for 4 hours..."
Thanks in advance

Thanks, but
Live - not really, I cant find option to add video filters. Ableton is more like reverse - You can insert video and make music to it in sync. Or Maybe You can tell me exactly how edit videos and create SFX transitions in Ableton
Vegas - 7 or 8 ? and where is the "magic " switch ?

"magic" switch... ?
all I have to say is that you if don't have the time and patience to actually learn how to edit video then buy stuff from crooklyn clan or other means.
there is NO magic switch or easy way to just mash-up videos.... if you do an easy "one button press" way then... well.. it will look as good as it sounds...
too easy = too cheesy

Spox, I think what these guys are trying to tell you,.. is there is no way to get the results you want, as easy as you want. My advice to you is to focus on getting the audio the way you want in a real audio program that allows you to work the way you like. Once you have the audio file the way you want it, bring it into a video editing program and start there.
Once you have your audio in a video editing program, you'll be able to do all the stuff you want. Bring in your video clips, still photos, visuals, whatever it is you are trying to do.
Most video editing programs use the familiar timeline to put all your stuff on, so it's not rocket science. But there is no simple way to do it.
If you are truly looking for simple visuals, then I would try playing your audio in a program that has a "visualizer" that displays crazy moving graphics automatically, and recording that.

Yup - that's what I thought.
Only A-swift had some real thoughts - rest off You is just Bunch of Haters, and not really read what I'm asking
All I ask was "application with option to set up project grid in BPM's"
and About "magic switch" - I was asking about version of vegas or where in the vegas menu is that (BPM grid) option.
@ A-swift - yes I know about timeline but my question was about setting visual project grid 2 tempo, by setting this up for video.
@ DJ-Phat-AL,D-Twizzle and (surprisingly) nik39 - hate what U want, but read carefully first - where in my post is something about lazyness, lack of patience, making easy way ?
I've put that question out to make my OWN videos, from my own materials with my own ideas. How Lame and Lazy is that ? and I didn't wrote anywhere that i want it quick easy and automated. I just wrote that I've already heard answers like
"Just cut up the video, insert everything u want to use, zoom to time line and move, paste, and again for 4 hours..." I KNOW that's the work. I just ask for the soft with bpm option. Not for a "Ill-do-it-for-ya-and-u-just-drink-coffe-and-watch-tv" software
I'm producer/DJ since 1996, and I really well know HOW to work HARD on Audio projects, I've spend days and nights on different projects, albums, Mixes remixes etc. And I was dragging crates to the club in time some of U wasn't even thinking about Djin' sayin' "what, i must buy and use winyls, search for the new music in dusted crates, cant download it? ,ah no I'll go work in McDonalds"
You probably don't accept that explanation and gonna still dis, but hell with that I had to straight it up B/C that was not nice from most of U
go figure

Dude, I was just making a joke and shamelessly plugging in a-swift's smashup creator, cause I found that creator funny. Chill. No one was hating.

sorry if it came out like that when I wrote that you have to put in the time in the learn to edit video.
I just see that a lot and it gets frustrating when new to video (noobs, newbies, etc) want the easy route to get videos done and think there is an all-in-one git-r-done software for kick ass edits.
Wasn't trying to hate... just misunderstood the real question you asked.
Yes in Vegas you can put the timeline in a BPM grid as a reference. Can't remember about the previous versions but at least in version 8 you can do BPM with beats and measures as the grid.

Apple's Pro apps allow you to work in BPM, timecode or hours minutes and seconds on the timeline. That will do what you want.
As Al pointed out, Vegas allows you to work in multiple timeline formats as well.

i answered your question in my first post. Live and Vegas can do what you're asking. did you expect me to teach you have to do everything?

And BTW, DJ Spox, I was not responding to you, I was responding to Phat-Al.

Aiight. All Good Serato Fam :)
I'm Cool, You Cool, We Cool...
@ D-Twizzle - Vegas-yes,can do since version 8 probably. Live-no - it's DAW (which BTW I'm using @ shows and in studio for a long time) and has only basic video functions. Although for music is one of the best soft ever
I'll check Vegas 8
Thanks Guys
