Serato Software Feature Suggestions

What features would you like to see in Serato software?

Autofade

Auto-fade would be a useful feature. As a mobile dj I would like to use an auto-fade feature during the cocktail or dinner portion of an event.

I could see it being an MP4-exclusive feature...

No shame in my game. I have seen a few of these posts and have actually brought it up myself in the past. I bring it up again because it seems to be a minor task to make a major improvement.
After discussing mobile gigs and weddings in the General Area of the forum we actually have a high number of mobile/wedding dj's that would benefit from this feature. I bring it up again to express how useful it would be. I am embarrassed sometimes when using auto mode for cocktail hour and I end up with large gaps of dead air between songs. Shame on Serato that the feature is not available yet.

I should rephrase my statement about it being a "minor task" because I'm sure it's a complicated process. However, there is a large user base of mobile dj's that would benefit from this improvement.

They said they've always had plans to incorporate Autofade, but didn't realize how hard it would be to program.

This is a must for wedding/corporate DJ's. Even with Winamp output to (future) ASIO, it wouldn't work because you couldn't use the drivers at the same time.

Wow it's been almost 8 years and still this has never been implemented!!!
The reason i brought this up is because i wanted to sell my SL1 to a bar owner so i can upgrade to SL2 and he asked me if SSL could autofade in autoplay by seconds. And when i answered him no he said well VDJ can do it i'm sticking with that...
Wow what a bummer!

Now why do you think the bar owner wanted the software to do this? SO HE DOESN'T HAVE TO HIRE DJ'S POSSIBLY?

THIS is actually a PERFECT example of why it is a bad idea and why people really want it. Forget cocktail hour, forget piss breaks, (those are both handled quite easy by a pre-made mix) it's to do the DJ's job period. I don't believe adding it so Bar owners can save money on DJ's is reason for implementing this. Are we here for DJ's and their well beings or are we here to outsource ourselves by replacing our job with an algorithm? Virtual DJ is basically guaranteeing no DJ will be working at this bar (or at least not as many as there would be without it) and you want to thank them as well as add it to our beloved software?

I am part of a union and this kind of stuff just irks me.

Taper A talking to superintendent of company says:
"Well the job was going along quite fine until one day I sold the building owner a bazooka (which automates Spackle work) he never called us back................... not sure why though"
