External HD scanning very slow

Hi,

i used to play everything from my internal HD on my mac. Used iTunes as my library, but now I have the majority of my library on an external HD. As I imported the songs, I faced a few problems. Firstly, the scanning of the songs takes like 45minutes always when I drag the folder to Itch.

I tried to make a crate of the external HD, but always after a relaunch of ITCH the crate(s) are gone. So could someone help me on this one. My friend is using Serato Live and he syncs 800gb in a few minutes and my 80gb takes like 10 times more. Why?

If you have any idea, I'm glad to get helped.

Hi. Just analyze your songs in ssl instead of itch. You can make crates there aswell. It will be save din the v7 database file, regardless of which program you use.

My opinion is further more, that the analyze is more precise in ssl, and it also discovers some corruptions that itch and sdj does not. I do all my analyzation in scratch live.
