DjPnut,
How ya doing bro! I'm glad to hear that for somebody using Windows. I'm just about to give up on my laptop and buy a Mac, but if there is still hope for my laptop I would like to save that cash for now.
Here are the specs of my laptop:
Dell XPS M1330, Intel Core 2 Duo T5800, 2.0GHz, 800Mhz, 2M L2 Cache
Matte Black Casing XPS M1330
4GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm, for XPS M1330
13.3 inch Wide Screen WXGA TL CCFL Backlit LCD with Camera, XPS M1330
128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS, for XPS M1330
320G 5400RPM SAMSUNG Hard Drive
Microsoft Windows Vista with SP1 Home Premium Edition 64-bit Edition English
I know I'm at the minimum specs, but if my Video-SL would not look as choppy, I will be a happy DJ for now.
Do you think this new version will improve the performance of Video-SL on my laptop?
Thanks for any help you can give me!

Well... One of the highlights with this update for me improved performance in a noticable way...
If you purchased VSL.. install new version and give it a shot!
But yeah, It's a big improvment for Non-Mac systems

I think the 2,5 ghz speed is what is helping you DJPNUT because it seems like a slight lag in mine

The CPU usage went down to the 60-70's for my PC, that alone was worth the wait. The combination of the new features in 1.9 and VSL 1.1 is great.... I tested for about 2 hours and everything was smooth.

I recant my early statement, my PC is running much better with 1.9 n VSL 1.1 and the problem I had with my external is over. I donm't know what Serato did but my external videos run great now. though I still believe it is better to get above specs laptop because of all the new effect VSL 1.1 can do now.
