I'm gonna start spinning video very soon at a new club and want to get everything in order first. Unfortunately I sold my serial number for SV and need to buy a new one. I'm using a 62 with SSL. I've tried SDJ and it's just not for me.. Am I forced to use SDJ with SV or can I run videos with SSL?
I enabled the video plug-in on SSL but not sure how to proceed. Any help?
Also, this is a throwbacks club. It's 70's-90's. I won't need a huge library, probably will roll with 1k videos for now to keep my crates light and filled with only bangers. Is my LaCie Rugged 500GB 800firewire 7200rpm external hdd ok for use with 2012 MBP 4GB Ram 10.8.6 Snow Leopard?

You can use scratchlive. There's also the option of MixEmergency which will always be updated AND compatible with scratchlive. And has way more features than SV. If you want the newer features of SV, you need to get sdj. That includes video recording, but MixEmergency can do that anyways...and better at it too, from what I've been reading.
