Has anyone sent their VCI to Vestax for repairs?

My right platter basically gave out and told me to double box it and send it in. I started really using the vci for gigs and i just want to know if any of you have done this? Also how long were did it take to get your vci back?

yeah around a week mate, i think it all depends where in the world it gets sent to, with me being UK i was advised to send it to germany as it would be a lot quicker than states or japan etc. with mine they replaced the board inside, just make sure you pack it well as they reuse your own packaging, well they did with mine anyway..

what did you guys have to get repaired? was the deck giving out on you too? and has your vci been working good since?

hey mikerizzy, i was having dreaded bsod with my OS, had loads of discussions with serato support and in the end they suggested i sent unit back which i did and they couldnt find fault with it even tho it was within dodgy serial number range, anyway they changed board just to be on safe side. i stil get odd bsod but i have put this down to my OS being utter dog shit, even tho it is barely 4 mnth old.

i actually had physical damage with mine so it was not repaired but replaced.

no worry's m8.
Your issues i reckon will be solved once you get a new unit and it will prob take around 7 days to get the new unit, which (when your anxious) will feel more like 7 month ;)
good luck with it mate.

Had also contact with those guy's there, (Me = Germany), they will check it prevently because of my serial-number, also I'm one of the guys with a "right platter issue".

Well - I'm a service engineer, too - working in an other business, but I think the service they do is great! They really take care about their customers.
