DJ_Gadabout 1:38 AM - 19 February, 2009
are you asking for some1 to send you copies of these songs? =?
Audio1 2:38 AM - 19 February, 2009
You can always go shopping for these tracks online, at places like rapbay, amazon or locally at spots like Rasputins or Amoeba... Some of us still dig, for vinyl and CD's. That or you can email one of the SBC DJ's and see if theyll cough em up.
djscottyfox 3:11 AM - 19 February, 2009
there aint no clean version of Come On In...wasnt ever a single, just off the album... i made a clean version for myself.... ill drop a zshare later, just the internet is so slooooow here at the station... but ill post u a zshare later tonight with all these...anything else anyone want while im here?

alrite thanx scotty ill hit you up
Audio1 5:01 AM - 19 February, 2009
Dont be asking Scotty for a zillion tracks now. Even us homies with Scotty hit him up with extremely necessary!

Sup Scotty!! We bumped the V-Day mixes during the holiday. Good cuts!
DJ Strike It Up 5:13 AM - 19 February, 2009
Cant u edit the tracks yourself?
Audio1 5:42 AM - 19 February, 2009
I think most people do, if its necessary. I know I do.... I did my first ever Bar Mitzvah and lucky I had some crunk/hyphy tracks that I edited myself so the 13 year old kids could go dumb without pissing off the parents. LOL
DJ Strike It Up 5:49 AM - 19 February, 2009
I had to edit all of my hip hop mixes for airplay when I was mixing for the radio station...its not that hard to do...
djpuma_gemini 6:47 AM - 19 February, 2009
Yeah, edit them. I made a clean thizzle dance and feelin myself.
a DJ 8:46 AM - 19 February, 2009
^ Yeah me too.

I've made so many clean bay songs. I do it almost every weekend. I love buying new bay vinyl and getting more songs. I have all these clean versions:
rbl - no bammer weed
11/5- garcia vaga
mac dre- too hard/4 myself
d-lo- no hoe
knt-come see us
they are all available, look for vinyl mostly. but i guess scotty's gonna post em up for you.
I still need to get RBL - Blue Bird Clean and Inst, but Ima just buy it on vinyl eventually
DeeJay From The Bay 3:13 PM - 19 February, 2009
how do you edit
DJ Strike It Up 3:44 PM - 19 February, 2009
are you serious? are you asking how to edit?

Have you ever heard of dropping the volume on a swear word when the song is playing? Thats called the "ghetto" way of editing - record the live playback of the song as you are spinning it and drop the volume fader when the swear word comes on....

Or Go buy an audio program like sound forge or something similar and play with it...
Audio1 5:33 PM - 19 February, 2009
With an editing program, You can reserve curse words or objectionable content.... What I do is what most DJ's do, First cut the curses/objectionable content out of the track then fill in those spots with either instrumental bits of the track or the DJ Premier way, with samples and noises. LOL

LOL...not everyone knows how to.
DJ Strike It Up 9:00 PM - 19 February, 2009
thats one of the first things i had to learn on the fly!
When i was a rookie and i was doing the backyard birthday parties, the customer would ask me not to play music with swear words...so I had to make sure whatever song i was playing didnt contain swear words, or else i had to kill the volume for a split second whenever the swear word was said...

(imagine doing that for that "work that motherfucker" track!)

now thats was back when it was just vinyl...when cds came into the picture and i was burning all my vinyl to mp3 - i had to ghetto edit those tracks (refer to ghetto editing in my previous post)

luckily i found soundforge and other programs that allow me to do this on the computer...
DeeJay From The Bay 10:37 PM - 19 February, 2009
considering im only 13 years old i didnt kno how to edit..

but thanks strike it up how much does that progam cost??
DJ Strike It Up 10:40 PM - 19 February, 2009
hmmmm, that program can be quite expensive...i bought it as a bundled package with other programs...

if you cant afford it, there are other similar programs that do the trick...
try going to you tube and search for videos on how to edit songs, they might give the name of cheap programs...

or u can search for some @ download.com

u have to be careful though, some of those programs come with alot of spyware.....
Audio1 10:40 PM - 19 February, 2009
I was 13 when I first was interested in DJing, of course, we didnt have the luxuries of laptops, desktops or THE INTERNET. LOL

Look up software such as Soundforge, Cool Edit Pro / Adobe Audition, Acid Pro and Ableton Live.
DJ Strike It Up 10:45 PM - 19 February, 2009
Same here Audio1

DeeJay From The Bay - since you are so young, try hanging out with older DJs who can show u the secrets and ropes of the DJ game...i was 15 when i first started to spin and alot of the stuff i learned was from the older DJs that I was hanging out with...

Jeronimo?
DJ Strike It Up 11:39 PM - 19 February, 2009
Believe it or not - today is his 100th Anniversary of his death!
and its "Geronimo"

His great-grandson filed a lawsuit today:

Harlyn Geronimo, on the 100th anniversary of his great-grandfather's death, has stirred up questions about whether the great Indian warrior's skull resides at the Tomb — the New Haven headquarters of Yale's most secret of societies, Skull and Bones.

Harlyn Geronimo, a 61-year-old sculptor and Vietnam veteran, filed a federal lawsuit in Washington, D.C., Tuesday seeking to claim the remains of his great-grandfather, who was buried at the Apache Prisoner of War Cemetery at Fort Sill, Okla., in 1909.

post a regular rap mix. like what you normally like to hear on the radio or on the ipod... so we get an idea of how you mix and we can give you feedback.
DJ Strike It Up 5:19 AM - 20 February, 2009
yea, slow jams belong in a bedroom with candles....but the good thing is that you didnt just slap songs together and trainwrecked...

it sounds like u got some potential...keep working at it, keep practicing and keep recording ur mixes so u can hear how good ur blends are...
DeeJay From The Bay 5:30 AM - 20 February, 2009

Not a bad mix. I didnt really hear nothing wrong with it. My only advice would be for you to practice on showing off the transitions. Its seems on most of the mixes, They lined up perfectly but only showed the last 2 bars of the transition. The true test is smoothly blending tracks and making it noticeable. Every DJ mixes differently. This is good... Nice transition from Bay cuts to Classic TRIBE!
DeeJay From The Bay 1:44 AM - 21 February, 2009
thanks man you know i couldnt do a good hip hop mix with out the tribe
DeeJay From The Bay 1:14 AM - 24 February, 2009
