Loop echo of a snare?

SweddyRacing 9:38 PM - 24 April, 2014
Yo!

Been listening to a lot of Amine Edge & DANCE sets recently. I am pretty sure they use TRAKTOR and associated hardware but they do a lot of effects in the transition of tracks where they seem to grab a snare sound from the track playing and repeat it with an echo effect. However, it doesn't roll the track as the track keeps playing, but that effect plays over... I've attached link to a set below, just skip through to somewhere and you will hear what I mean.

Any clues how to do this on Serato or what effect it might be?
THanks

Just flick through a 2hr set? As if. if you give a time when they do it that would make sense

They use Traktor; it's the Tape Delay effect in that software.

Yeah I heard they use Traktor. So is at all possible to replicate in Serato, maybe not exactly but in some way????

Listen to that snare repeait itself (only the snare) whilst the track plays on unaffected?

Ok. so I think I'm right in saying there is a rhythmic snare that plays during a track, but then JUST THE SNARE continues once the next song is mixed in?

In that case the snare isn't part of the track. it will be a loop. so in sdj you need to get a loop of a snare rhythm and either play it on sp6 of a 3rd deck. the snare rhythm might have come from the track, but is being played separately as a loop
