a carriage return produces an high line height on this forum, anyone noticed that?

select all the text in this message and you'll see the difference between the text line-height and the blank line-heights..

i think i've identified the problem:

basically the line height is 18px, but there is an additional (and imo uneccessary) 2 pixel bottom margin on normal text lines...and for some reason on blank lines you get an extra pixel gap, so it becomes a 3 pixel margin. if you notice in the first picture, just below the selected copied phrase, the gap below is slightly bigger than the one above it.

..and these extra margins do not seem to show up in the editor box!

so basically just remove the extra 2 pixel bottom margin and try and suss out where that extra pixel is coming from on a line break ;)

i'm using FF 3.0.4 btw..

Personally think it is easier to read the way it is.

maybe one day you'll get to try it the other way and you can make a comparison?!
