Serato Video General Discussion

Talk about Serato Video and Video-SL.

did I miss something, where are all the threads asking about VSL 1.1 Public Beta

DJ Dub Cowboy 11:40 PM - 5 February, 2009
I thought there would be a ton of eager SL-1 owners making posts...

because Nathan said:

Hi,
This is the wrong forum area for this but we did say at NAMM that VSL 1.1 would PB on 4th Feb (2 weeks after SSL in NZ time). But of course we reserve the right to fiddle with that date ;-)

from this thread

serato.com

Its the 5th

all good, just eager

Wait aminute ^^^^^^^shouldn't every thing that is talked about in the beta area stay in the beta area just like how every thing that happens in vegas stays in vegas. ooooooops some body is in trouble...lol

but since you brought it up am just gona poke around with it here it comes................wait for it .......................

...........wait for it.....................wait for it......... i think vsl is late and all those customers signed the contract with the devil by switching to mix emergency that offers text support and did i say text support i mean i don't blame them if they don't want to cross back over and shell out another $200 to vsl 1.1 which indeed has no text support.

warning my opinion!

soooo.

it's delayed, right.

any word on how long, anywhere?
JT 3 2:33 PM - 7 February, 2009
I would much rather have it delayed and GOOD vs. on time and BAD....
DJ Dub Cowboy 7:15 PM - 7 February, 2009
seen...

I know you all are working hard in New Zealand, so I made you some breakfast.

I'm am around 110% sure that text support is on the agenda, but the SL1 guys were shouting louder, and reasonably so.

The legend that is, only has one pair of hands, so maybe in 1.2 we'll get text support....

... also applies for text support .. surely ?

It is the Serato way ... if it's not GREAT, it's not ready!

would be nice for improved pc support. even if we had to dl some other codec or patch somewhere else to make it smoother.
FunkyRob 2:21 AM - 27 February, 2009
I'm new, what's "text support"?
DJ Dub Cowboy 2:32 AM - 27 February, 2009
the ability to add text to the screen, overlayed
PhoenixUK 10:15 AM - 27 February, 2009
like a scrolling banner across the bottom .....
Demon 4:38 PM - 3 March, 2009
Text support would be great. With products like Mix Emergency already having that feature it would make a lot of sense for Serato to keep up.
djpuma_gemini 12:58 AM - 4 March, 2009
One thing at a time. The updates for 1.1 are more than likely done, now it's just fixing the bugs. They are also probably working on future updates, but I don't want this thing bloated down with all this extra crap that is becomes unstable like the competitors.
FunkyRob 3:10 AM - 4 March, 2009
If they never said this:

scratchlive.net

maybe folks would be more patient.
skinnyguy 5:33 AM - 4 March, 2009
naw. pc users would still be yelling "box of janky" and buggin for better optimization...soon.
Henry GQ 4:56 PM - 4 March, 2009
i say screw the pc users..
they should drop the vsl 1.1/1.9 for mac users and let the pc users wait
its their fault for not going with mac :)
shit did i say that ?
Millz 5:16 PM - 4 March, 2009
Actually VSL works great on my 64 bit machine, calm down, gettin the bugs out:)
