my organization of tracks starts in one big crate called "singles" i bpm them, gain them, then start sorting into differnt crates. the bangers crate , the radio crate, etc... problem is.. when i drag and drop a new single into another crate, from the singles crate, now its in both, kinda not what i'm looking for, now i know ive mentioned this before, so heres the new part...
when you search for one of these tracks, now it will appear TWO times in the explorer results !! how annoying! we gotta do something about this. when you move from crate to crate it should be a move. out of the old crate into the new crate...

A shortcut for moving instead of copying tracks has allready been suggested.

Right but copying is very usefull as well. I think we should have a move and a copy. As I would have say a Really good set that I like or group of favorite tracks but I also want those in the proper sorted crate for say genre or ?? so having the track in 2 crates is good.
But also your sugestion for a move is very good as well since I can see many of us sorting your tracks the same way. bring them in then sort them out..
1 thing I can reccomend.
Create a NewFiles or "Singles" crate. import your new tracks to that crate and then do your BPM and tags there. once done sort them ALL to the crates you would like them to reside in and when your done delete the "Singles" crate. you will now have the tracks listed only once.. since I cant see a need to keep "singles" crate after you have sorted the files.. just a thought

obvious quick solution is to delete the song out of your "singles" crate. as mentioned, this has been suggested already for future versions.

um no kidding. the other suggestion was my post. do you people read? quote:
when you search for one of these tracks, now it will appear TWO times in the explorer results !! .
geezus christ. the reading comprehension level here is like 8th grade level.
to clarify: a song that is located in more than one crate should not appear more than once in search results.
@foundation: thanks for the suggestion, but some tracks do not leave the original 'singles' crate.

prob not a good idea to critcize the people you are asking for help from....it usually is NOT appreciated. if you had done a proper search before posting this question you wuld have found that this bug has already been reported and noted accordingly. maybe it's you who needs to check your reading comprehension and learn how to use the SEARCH function. if you don't want dumb answers then don't post dumb questions simple as that. oh and lets not turn this into another locked thread okay.

you are a total doosh bag. nobody is asking for your "help", this is a suggestions forum. not an "ask your local dooshbag forum". nor am i criticizing you, i'm just pointing out the obvious- that you are a total doosh bag.
next time you see a post with my name on it. please spare us and dont read it. let's not turn this into another locked thread okay? dooshbag, its my thread, if you dont like it, dont read it. you are hijacking my post with your pussy bullshit 7th grade girl behavior, nobody appreciates it. does your mom know you talk on the computer like this?

wow, you certainly are a master of the obvious- GREAT JOB!!! you've solved my problem!!
i think feniks should be given a new forum to moderate- "obvious quick solutions by feniks"- and he should be banned from the "suggestions" forum.

ok PIPEone, in single syllable words...
Be nice, or get off this board
If you disagree with someone, state it calmly without resorting to insults.
Otherwise, we will have a problem.

all i'm saying is to do a search before posting a question. chances are the question has already been asked and may already have an answer. most of the members of this board have been around here alot longer than you and have been using this product longer than you. it's a pretty simple concept....got it newbie?

i find it ironic the same people who critize others' behavior resort to the same tactic for their reply--name calling, anger, etc. just a helpful hint: don't stoop to the other's guy's level. ever. got enough of that already with all those political ads. ;)

and i'm not a newb, and i did do a search, and this hasnt been brought up before, and the post that everyone keeps refering to was mine in the first place and it was a differnt suggestion, and i never asked for his help, or asked a question for that matter.
this post was a feature suggestion- that search results should never list the same mp3 twice. end of story.
it didnt require any comments from anybody, or smart ass remarks. and if anybody didnt like it, then they dont have to read or reply to it. people who hang around message boards all day and get off on telling people to "use the search function" are really a pathetic breed- feeling a sense of power in their lives over the fact that they spend more time on a certain message board than anybody else.
hey feniks anytime you see a post w/my name, please dont respond to it. as a matter of fact, please dont read it.

PIPE, I dont want to get into any fight, but you are telling what you think about those "pathetic" guys who tell others to use the search function. I think its a bit disrespecting if same questions get asked several times (not saying you did) again and again and people expect that others to _their_ (home)work. Cause if it has been asked and answered then there are two possibilites:
1) you were too dumb to find the questions and/or the answers
2) you were simply too lazy.
I have no problem with number 1, it happens to me sometimes, but I have a problem with number two, this is disrespecting (though I also do it from time to time, esp because I usually read all posts here) and therefire calling guys who say "search first before you ask" pathetic is inapropriorate.
Just my 2 cents.

for the third time, i never asked a question. i am not looking for help. this is the suggestions forum.
MY SUGGESTION was that search results shouldnt display the same mp3 more than once. if it wasnt clear in the first post, its been clarified since then more than once.
thank you for reading carefully.
