I think it would be great if you guys make it possible to load videos to the sampler.
If you drop a sample with your dj name, the name will be displayed on the screen too, on top of the video. with this luma key black or white effect on it would look good.
and if you put a logo of your dj name in a loop without audio and play it the whole time you mixing, you would be able to brandmark your mixes with your logo in a corner.
it think it's a cool feature.
a other idea is too set a default video, that allways plays when u playin a audio-file without a linked video.
i hope you guys know what i mean :D

I like how this combines the SP-6 sampler (thanks, BTW) with other requested features.
takes care of:
image overlays
auto visuals for audio only tracks
drop video sampler
the important thing is that the GUI is already there. There could be different modes for some of the sample cells, add an video-fx insert (for existing luma key effects)and its good..

while I love the idea.. dont get me wrong here.
you'd have to wonder how much stress another video (potentially with audio)
might push the systems...
Im no Steve Jobs, but I think even the 3.+ ghz 8gbRam would even be stressed
with 4-8 videos loaded (maybe not ALL being played at once) but 2-3
and you have to take into consideration the traffic over a usb2
(I know some of us are on fw800, but alot of people are still using usb2.0)
I think maybe in a good 2-3 years when we see USB 3.0 pop up, and the processors
are running around 4.0+ ...video cards are no longer 512.. maybe 1gb.
again, its an awesome idea...
but I think the laptops at the moment arent quite ready.
even my powerhouse ;)

+1 on this but I would also like an option the picks random vids stored in a preselected for the mp3's

Really not sure if this is plausible. Just brainstorming...
How about a feature that would re-purposes a small section of the video output window (let's say on the bottom left hand corner - to cover the cr*ppy Artist/Title plugs and such) This real estate could then be used to insert a graphic/logo and theoretically not overtax the system resources as much as an overlay would. Like a Picture in a picture type of look on a TV.
