ok so i tried to download the song, it didnt work and prom queen didnt work either. when i tried to download either one a empty gray box showed up and it wouldnt let me download either.

It sounds like you're experiencing a browser related glitch. The gray box is a "warning" that you're downloading a list locked file that requires Scratch Live version 1.8.2 or greater.

If it's not rendering properly and not displaying an 'OK' button then my guess is that the problem is specific to your OS and/or browser. So...

Could you please tell me which OS you're using, and which browser (including version) you're using.

im useing windows vista "im going to downgrade soon though it gives me problems all the time."
and the latest version of internet explorer.

OK, I found the bug :-)

You should now be able to correctly read the text in the gray box and click the OK button.
