Using balanced booth output with active monitors - phasing issue

Hi all,

I just got a new set up second hand yesterday with an 57SL and it came bundled with some Genelec 8020 active monitors. I've plugged the leads (XLR to Jack)into the booth outputs but the speakers are phasing, like when you connect the + and - terminals the wrong way round on passive speakers. I've never used active ones before - am I doing somehting wrong or are the cables I've been supplied with out of phase? I've thought there may possibly be a phase reverse switch on the back of the monitors (180) and had a quick look on the back but can't see anything, although it was late and quite dark last night... :)

Hi Jon

I am having a similar problem with an american audio active speaker, the American Audio XSP-8A Active 8" 2-way Speaker. It does not seem to work with the 57SL for some reason. My friend suggested it maybe something to so with the low voltage output of the 57SL. Perhaps your problem has something to do with that.
