that would be cool if SL could remember .wav files bpms... i know they cant be saved into the file but that would be cool if Sl could keep record of them them somehow

Actually, they *could* be saved with the WAV. One easy way to do it would be to reproduce the ACID chunk made popular by Sound Forge/Sony, and used by many other music products. This has one field specifically for BPM.

They can be saved into the file. I have some wav files with BPMs - is this not working for you?

.AIF files are the easiest 16 bit/44.1 KHz files to store header info.

BadCompany - can you verify that BPMs are not stored in your wav files?
BadCompany 2:29 AM - 5 December, 2004
Hi Sam, Thanks for your reply.

No, last time I checked the BPM nfo is not retained when I have mixmeister do the calculations... I'm currently away from home so i will double check when i get home, and keep you updated.

Ok i check and my BPMs are not stored in the wav files... is there a program that can calculate and store them? Mixmeister only save them for mp3s...

what if you manually enter them via Scratch LIVE - are they saved?

Anyone had any luck in finding a program that will write the BPM directly to a .wav file? I am trying to do a large batch and would like to do them all at once.

Thanks
