So now we don't even have the OPTION to see both on screen at the same time???
Now we're forced to have only one or the other visible??? That's prettty f*cked up.
Serato giveth, and Serato taketh away.

Ok guys, here's the solution:

Granted, I did chop off a bit from the bottom and top of the SYNC button (to give it a lower profile), but it really didn't need that much negative space to begin with.
You're welcome!!

Shit make that +10000000 - I just hooked up a controller and see that you have to click a switch to see cue and loops separately.. The only consolation I could see is that IF you are using a controller like the VCI 380 or DDJ-SX then you can see the Cue buttons lit up so you know what you have.. However, still a down side of course since that doesnt really show time or position in the song.
Saving and managing loops seems messed up as well but I usually do those in Scratch Live anyways. Will keep the 1.3 on computer as well.. Just in case this irritates me on a gig.
I like the different color for the played track though.. just should have been the same color as SSL.

I think a new display mode should be created in the drop down which is a 'performance' mode that has the previous SDJ 1.3 with loops and cues back on it.
I say this as I loved the old look of 1.3 but I also love the new 1.5.
Adding an extra mode won't detract from the new look.

Great suggestion, I'll take it even further...what about making the sync button a radio button. There's no need for 2 big sync and off buttons. Just make it one button, click for on--it turns blue and white, click for off--it turns grey and black. And put it right under the censor button, same size as as the censor button with an "S" as the label.
The 2 buttons take up way too much screen real estate, and if they make the play control buttons smaller (like they were in SSL) they can squeeze 2 more rows of cue points with the space they save.

Question...what do you all think about not even having to switch. Serato already said they are going to make it so that you see all 8 cues on the screen at once. What if we had all 8 cues and loops all together at once.
When they fit all 8 cues, there's space available from removing the scroll bar, then there's more space available by removing the switch buttons. Then all they have to add are a small "loop on/off" button, and a "loop play" button, both directly to the left of the cue marker buttons. All we need for loops are those controls, we don't need time markers for loops (never had them in SSL). When you click a loop on, you see it light up on the waveform and you know what loop that is. Much more fluid than switching back and forth.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one who feels this way. Now, if we can just get an official response from Serato... i.imgur.com

So when do we expect to see this change? I hate the current view. How can the developers at Serato think to remove features? LoL..
