Serato Video General Discussion

Talk about Serato Video and Video-SL.

So watermarks aside, who has better service PO or SP and what issues are worth subscribing to???

Subject says it all. Not really to concerned with the audio as I replace it on most hi-res videos I get. Mainly interested in video quality and getting the best selection of usable, hit videos. The less filler the better. I am looking into both to run along side my smashvidz subscription. I was leaning toward the Urban and Hitz/Mainstream issues from both. Any thoughts on the Dance issues from either service.

Last question, if I go the Screen Play route is anyone getting their files in Mpeg format? How is that working out for you?

I think screenplay has better video quality. PO is always interlaced and when I convert to mp4 and de-interlace the quality drops compared to a vob not interlaced and converted to mp4. That's why I think smash has better looking mp4's they don't get their stuff interlaced.

Yeah Rebel, get the Mpeg format...less time you got to spend ripping from the DVD. One less step for us SSL video DJ's. I you were using regular DVD players like the Pio's, I would get the regular DVD format.

I tell you one thing...if SP starts a download distribution system....ohhweee it's over for PO.

And also for the audio, they improved the sound and volume so there's no more low audio like the days of the old screenplay.
