I am using a Dell Inspiron 2200 with my 57 and everything used to work fine, now after about 10 minutes of playing the red usb light comes on and the processor is completed bogged down and quits running Scratchlive. Any help on this situation would be greatly appreciated. Also i plugged up the SL box and my 57 to another one of my laptops and it works fine. So that eliminates SL hardware.

Buffer is set to 10 but it has been there for the last 2.5 - 3 yrs without experiencing a problem and changing it doesnt solve the problem.

How much available drive space do you have remaining on your internal drive?

Norton might be scanning prior to allowing access to each file...

Try disabling Norton and see if it has any affect.
10GB should be OK, but you might want to free up a bit more space and see if that helps things.

Are you running on battery power when this happened or plugged in? I had a similar problem and then discovered my battery was bad.

I think my cooling fan is bad i do not ever hear it spinning.I just plugged a household fan next to my laptop while running scratchlive and everything played fine for at least 40 minutes.

Try running speedfan www.almico.com to monitor your temperature.
A good clean of the inside of your laptop will probably sort it out.
