ttm56 or the ttm57

i own ttm56 and a ttm57. i just love the fader on my ttm56 alot. i got a ttm57 because of serato controls. to me when it comes to the faders, my ttm56 feels much better than my ttm57. i wanted to know if anyone else felt this way. i don't know if it a factory default, but everyone that has used my ttm56 said the same thing as i've said.

i like the way the both feel ( i hate the way then dam!! vestax feel!!! omg!! ) this kat i used to dj with had a 07 pro and a 08 pro. i will admit the 08 pro does have a sharper cut off but the fader is long as hell and it will wear out eventually unlike the rane faders wont( unless you really beat the $#@! out of your mixer daily ) and i dont like the way the numark inifinity fader feels. them shits feel like u djing on a water bed!!!.

but

yes i do have the butter rugs. they are good. but they dont last.( the lil hole where the thimble goes on will wear out some what fast if your doin lots of tracks and scratching and shit( especially if u leave them on the tt and put them in a flight case and move them around they will get messed up ) but yes they do work!! ( they work so dam good that sometimes its to much slip for me to do the tricks i want to do cause its almost frictionless ) would i buy another pair prob not since i know how to make them. but if push came to shove then yes i would.
56 or 57.???? hmmmmmm well im a comp a+ tech ( not certified sorry i aint pass the test but i know my shit )im a believer of keep it separate! the more you go putting shit into aio( all in ones ) they gear the more you run a risk of shit goin wrong.granite i have not heard any nightmares about the 57sl. my thing is i got my ttm56 in 2002 2003 when i was in the scratch academy in nyc when dj ie merge told me to get one( he was one of my teachers for that term )so im a ttm 56 man my self. that what i recommend. BUT!!! i also do not disapprove of the ttm57sl by a long shot cause it to is a master work of turntable wizardry! so it more so boils down to personal preference on that, but me like i said keep it separate - my thing is i dont want to lose two things cause of on issue, if the serato fails for some nut job reason and you have to get it serviced, you out of a ssl1 box and you mixer for one issue , where if you have the ttm56 and ssl1 box and the ssl1 box goes bad you still got you mixer to do what ever( and most club/club owner and club djs have the ssl1 box already in the club, so all u got to do is hook in to it )or if for some reason the ttm 56 goes bad but you still got your ssl1 box,( i know as a dj you know some one else that djs to ) that may not mnd letting you hold a mixer for that night or a cheap one just to get the job done( cause you still got a working ssl1 box ) so that my take on it in a detailed nut shell.
