I currently own a DJM 800 Mixer and use it with sl-1. Now, I have a friend of mine that wants to trade my mixer for his ttm-57. Should I do it or not? Does anyone own those two mixers and could tell me why should I or why shouldn't i do it..
Thank you
Thank you

I own both of these and really enjoy playing with the 57 way more. In fact I'm thinking of getting rid of the 800 and just concentrating on using the 57. But to each his own. If you are very used to the 800 effects, it will be tough to get used to the 57's offerings.

i've had an 800 for over a year now..and i played with my buddies 57 and loved it..just bought a 57 and sold my 800...and no regrets so far - it is different tho and itll take some getting used to - but if you don't need all the channels routinely than its great

i own the 57 and 800, 800 gets a plus for me since im an all around dj, house music goes well with the djm800 effects and sampling are phenomenal on it as far for the 57 its also good sound quality and all but more for hip hop dj dancehall and all the rest but both are good ..... i suggest keep ur djm 800 and get urself a ttm57

Hey guys, What I did was talk to my friend and asked him to let me borrow his TTM-57 to try it out and see for myself if its worth it.
So far I'm loving the 57 the sound quality is very clean and louder, less cables and I get to mix Videos now!
I Play mostly hispanic- house- top 40- hip hop and I kinda miss those nice and easy accessible effects on the 800.
When I bought the 800 I bought because of the effects and channels. But, to tell you the truth I never used more than 3 channels. And I didn't know that I could plug my Roland to the aux in or my kueit and keep it rock it as if I would have 3 channels. I really love it and I think Im gonna go ahead and trade it. Though I would love to have them both but $$ is the problem now. Im thinking on buying the djm 700 (gray) in the future to match my cdjs 800 and to get those nice effects back.
Is there anything that I should look out for the 57?
