Won't recognize my video in serato after imported into itunes

I dragged all my videos from a Music Video folder i have on my hard drive into the "All Videos" section of serato, organized them into some crates and subcrates.
Then i realized you could drag them into iTunes as well, so i did that and made some play lists of videos in itunes.
When I turned Serato back on it sees all the Videos as songs now and when I try to load the video up, it won't play and then the file is all of a sudden corrupted. Everything was working perfectly until i opened the videos in iTunes. How can I fix this? I spent so much time organizing them and I have a video dj gig in a few days and it won't play any of the videos i have anymore.
please help.. thanks,

what version of SSL are you using. 1.8.1 had a bug and it's fixed in 1.8.2

wow, the infamous dj spider. i heard you kill the club in vegas once. big props..
sorry i can't help you much with your issue. i know a lot of people have problems importing videos with itunes. my only recommendation is to not use itunes and to import them directly to ssl/vsl. this is what i do and i've never had any library issues. you can try backing up your itunes xml file and then delete it so itunes will rebuild it. or uncheck the option to use itunes in the serato setup menu.
i'm not sure if that will help but you can always restore the xml file or re-check the option if it doesn't help.

DJTaino - I upgraded to 1.8.2 and erased all the videos and tried to drag them back in and only certain ones would show up as videos, most had the iTunes cd logo next to them as if they were mp3s or just had no icon and if i try to play them in serato they become corrupted and won't ever play in another program after that.
D-Twizzle - thanks man :) I won't use itunes again to import them i guess even though it seemed like a good way or organize because there is no preview window in serato for videos, but i just want it to go back to the way it was now, I don't understand what happened. I guess I could re-build the itunes library but i dont want to mess up my whole mp3 library as well as the mp4's. I tried un-checking "read itunes" and then re-dragging the videos and that didnt help either.
I wish i could just go back to exactly the way I had it, i had been practicing and had all these sets and routines worked out with the mp4s and now i cant even play any of them.

Spider,
This happened to me too and I was able to get all my videos to work again. It did take back-up copies. I usually keep all of my videos in folders by source and then import them into itunes as movies. I consolidate the library which makes a copy of each video in the itunes music/movies folder. Before 1.8.2 all my files went black. The time readout would load, but waveform, audio, or video.
Once 1.8.2 was finalized, I reimported all my videos into itunes and then deleted all the bad ones. An important step when getting them back into Serato was having SSL read the tags. In fact, I often have to have SSL read the tags again first before building overviews or it wants to build them all over again. Before reading the tags, the videos would appear as normal itunes files.
You do not have to rebuild your whole itunes library, just go into the movies folder (inside the music folder) and delete only your movies
I was ready to ditch itunes for videos altogether, but I got it working to my satisfaction.
