I just purchased my ttm57 from GC last year right b4 NYE and has been working flawlessly until just recently. my right fader started falling through the cover plate, upon removing the plate I found the plastic part that the screw pulls into was cracked. I went ahead and just tightened up the other screw which had worked itself a bit loose and it worked for a few more weeks until it eventually fell through again. I Spin 4 nights a week here at "DRINK" in Knoxville, TN and don't have time for it to be down. Last night the crossfader wouldn't kill at full cut to the left, i.e. the music would not stop coming through the crossfader from the right channel. I went ahead and swapped the working left fader with the crossfader in order to keep the night going. What gives with these faders????????

i am curious what could cause it to get dirty. it has only been lightly used, and in dry non smoking environments.
it is maybe 3 months old too.

The lube on the rails can collect dust and become a bit "gummy". A quick clean and lube is all it should take.
