Hard Drives

DJ VILLADON 3:24 AM - 13 October, 2008
I've been converting all of my PO Videos and just putting them on my Ext. Music drive (WD 500g FW400) for the time being but it's filling up fast. I want to go ahead and get a FW800 drive to hold the videos. Anyone recommend a good solid drive just for video? I'd like to keep the music drive FW400 and Video FW800.

Thanks

western digital has an external that comes mac formatted. it's firewire 400/800, usb, esata. a terabyte is about $220. it's the only type of drive that i buy.

Thanks. I'll probably just go with the WD since I've had no probs so far with their drives.

That's what i use.. paid more than $220... but it's ok...

I've had it quit a few times when i was giggin... but over all i'm happy with it

the reason it quit was because it goes to sleep when not in use. j&r music world in nyc has it for that price. thinking about getting the 1.5 terabyte of that drive for $299. too many videos.

it was definately in use... all of my music is external... so i'm playin and then i get the pop up message that one of my devices has quit unexpectedly... can yoy say fucked? i have 100k songs and it takes like 5 minutes to be up and running
