I started doing sound system wiring and installs in autos in the early 80s. Eventually, good auto amps were at least $300 & all the bumps on the road caused more warranty work than it was worth so I started buying pro audio for djing and by 1988 I started djing spinning mainly dance music (club classic & up beat new songs & what I call "the best" hip hop). Back then, Vegas and EVs were the bread & butter of the business, along with 1200s which I paid $250 for new. I'm more of a sound guy DJ. Today, I'm a mobile on the Jersey side of the NYC metro area. I play in some NYC & NJ places.
