OK, doing some research and found my library is probably too big....
I´ll upload the files later if you´re interested. Which ones do you need?
Anything you want me to install in the background and reproduce the crash?
Please help as soon as possible, I want this SX working when I get it :)

OK, seems you guys are too busy to answer...
I´ll write you some update in case you read this or if others have the same problem.
As you can see, my labrary was about 89k tracks, which was actually too big and many tracks were double or never used. So I am about to clean up and already deleted 40k. (I keep a backup of these tracks on my desktop PC at home in case I ever need some of them)
SDJ was still crashing though. I needed to delete the 2 biggest crates which contains all tracks (so I could count the number of tracks I have) and the HDD 1 crate which contained all tracks of HDD 1, because the program always hang up while loading these ones.
Now I was able to start SDJ.
I started to re-analyze some files to have them "beatgritted". and it crashed over and over.
Also after loading some songs it crashed a several times.
Same for entering/ changing comments for some tracks.
I decided to rename the "database V2" file on both partitions and let SSL create new ones.
Then I started SDJ again and let it analyze about 6k files and it worked.
Unfortunately I was working on the 2nd partition where I did not install the crash dump settings...
I will do some testing later and report how it worked out.

OK, loaded 5776 tracks to analyze, and after 4771 tracks I just received the error message:
"There is not enough memory for this operation" and SDJ hang up.
I did not touch the device since I started this morning to analyze the tracks.
Physical memory:
Total 4022
In Cashe 1708
Available 1701
Free 0
Kernel Memory :
Paged 193
Nonpaged 76

I restarted SDJ and clicked on analyze again, but it did not "remember" there were another 1000 to go, and I don´t know which ones have been analyzed yet. So I selected the last 1000 tracks and dragged them again to analyze.
Before that I quickly installed the crash dump registry.
Oh I hope this thing will be stable when I play in the club.....
Do you have any time schedule for a patch release?

After deleting some tracks, my database contains now about 36k tracks.
All files have been analyzed without crashing. Also everything is responding as it should.
I will go to Taiwan next week and when I come back the SX will be delivered (which would be April 25th)
I hope everything will work as it should, because the 26th and 27th I want to play with it in the club.
Cheers !! :) And thanks for your quick responses :p

Hey DJ Martin,
Firstly, apologies for the late reply. We have just been flat out busy here at Serato HQ. I'm really glad you have documented your findings in this thread with detail - this will benefit us for helping other users. The issue is like what you have stated - your library is quite frankly way too big. You have two external HD's, but also not enough RAM to support those drives.
Please keep me posted on how you go with your SX, and please dont be shy to communicate any questions or issues you may have.
Cheers

Thanks Mak T for your reply :)
Those drives are internal, not external. (SATA)
How much RAM do you advise? Will 8GB be enough?
I am reducing my library each day now, and it was quite a mess :p
Not for the frequently played tracks, but those I actually never used. I´m now around 30k tracks and plan to reduce them to about 10-12 k. (also because of some new German laws which make you pay 13 cent for each track per year)
Then I go for a SSD for windows and the other internal HDD will be used for audio files. (1 TB, which should be enough then.)

Hey DJMartin,
That is a crazy German Law you have there! .. that would definitely hurt my bank account haha :P
With your current 4GB the move to 8GB would definitely a great improvement. You definitely are on the right track in terms of ensuring your system is running efficiently. I personally have roughly 10K songs on my computer I DJ with and it runs flawlessly.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Cheers
