When I enter a song genre, it will quite often be replaced with "Other" after a while.
Steps to reproduce:
* Find a song in the library without a genre
* Double click genre field and set genre to "Progressive House"
* Analyze the file
* After analysis genre will show as "Other"

Other metadata such as key is not affected, and remains persistent.
If genre is set in other application and saved to ID3 tag, it remains persistent.

A check of the actual ID3 tag of the file shows that genre is blank after Serato DJ has saved the tag.

Actually, it does happen on the Macs as well. Guess I was just lucky with the first couple of tracks I tested. It is now consistently reproducible on both Windows and Mac.

Hey Roy Levi,
This is a known issue to us. This bug has been logged with our product team and we hope to bring a fix in a future release, however I couldn't say when.
Regards

Noted, thank you for the reply, Dave.
If you want any feedback, please let your management know that the expected response time for a post-sale inquiry is no more than two business days. Other companies I depend upon, like inMusic, Atomix, Propellerhead, Beatport, Pioneer, Canon, Apple and Lenovo seems to manage this quite well.
Best,
Roy

We have a major backlog of threads at this time and we are doing our best to cover as many per day as possible. We had two stat holidays last week which was the reason for this backlog.
These companies are much large than Serato with much higher numbers of employes and some spanning across the globe with offices all over the world. Serato is based in New Zealand with a much smaller staff. That being said we hope to bring a high level of support, even if our response time this past week has been a little slower than usual.
Again we apologize for the delayed response.
Regards
