I planning in getting a MacBook Pro 13-inch: 2.9GHz
2.9GHz dual-core Intel Core i7
Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
8GB 1600MHz memory
750GB 5400-rpm hard drive1
Intel HD Graphics 4000
Built-in battery (7 hours)2 . Will I be able to use serato video flawless with no glitches.

It's better to get a 15 inch macbook pro as the 13 inch doesn't have dedicated graphics. You could also get a refurbished 2011 mbp 15 model with an i7 2.2/2.4ghz + AMD graphics with 1gb.
DJLu1983 12:52 AM - 31 January, 2013
The Other Mac that I was thinking of getting is 15" 2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7
Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
8GB 1600MHz memory
750GB 5400-rpm hard drive1
Intel HD Graphics 4000
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5 memory
Built-in battery (7 hours)2. Thank you

1. Click the APPLE icon top left of your screen.
2. Navigate to SYSTEM PREFERENCES.
3. Click ENERGY SAVER.
4. Turn OFF automatic graphic switching.
5. Close the Energy Window.

Does this resolve your issue?

Thanks :)

Hey DJLu1983,

Thanks for those details. Its good to hear you have both decks working now!

What version of SERATO VIDEO are you running?
1. Launch Scratch Live
2. Click SETUP
3. Navigate to Plugins
4. Click SERATO VIDEO
5. Navigate to INFO tab
6. You will see VERSION and a number beside it: ie 11050. What number do you see?

Second thing to check, do you have any audio effects active on the output Video windows?

Try the following,

1. Launch SCRATCH LIVE.
2. CLICK the "VIDEO" button thats located just above your Crates window.
3. This will drop down the VIDEO window.
4. At the top of SCRATCH LIVE you have 5 view options. CLICK the second view option.
5. You should now see 2 Virtual Decks with waveform displays in the middle of the screen.
You should also see 3 video screens below the virtual decks.
6. Below the middle VIDEO screen you will see a letter "F" CLICK this and the crossfader will become visible.
7. Make sure the crossfader is set to the deck you are playing music from.
8. Right below the middle video screen you will see a drop down TAB which is full of effects. Set this to DEFAULT.

Let me know how you get on :)
DJLu1983 7:51 PM - 15 February, 2013
I Set the tab to DEFAULT. And it work for a little bit with out blinking in INT MODE. wen i open itch to get the control signal to my V7 and go to REL MODE . The video started blinking again. Also in INT MODE if i try to use auto mode it changes the song but the video is in black.

Do you mean AUTO TRANSITIONS?

1. Below the middle VIDEO screen you will see a letter "F" CLICK this and the crossfader will become visible.
2. Make sure the crossfader is set to the deck you are playing music from, if its not all you will see is a blank black video output screen.
3. Also make sure the Video Plugin Channel faders at at the TOP position. These faders are located right beside each video deck preview screen.

Make sure the faders are all the way up on either side in the software...you may also have to re-install scratch live & video plug in just in case...otherwise your new macbook is a beast...same one i'm getting :-)

anyway since you don't have a TTM 57,what are you using to crossfade the video...problem may be with hardware execution not software
DJLu1983 11:54 PM - 18 February, 2013
I am using the demo version to see if everything works good before i buy it . i have done everything you have told me. The fader is in the right place. What i mean "Auto mode".To play one video after the other in the same deck. The video changes, but i can't see the image, only the sound. Then i have to restart ssl to be able to load and see video on ether deck.

Hey DJLu1983,

Thanks for that information.
I apologise it has taken me a few days to get back to you.
I have done some further testing with our Video developers and we can confirm this is a bug.

The video plugin buffer is becoming stuck when Auto Play is enabled.
It may not happen with the first couple of videos but eventually it will lock up which means you will not be able to load videos to any deck.
I have logged this bug and we hope to have it resolved in a future update.

A workaround for now (without closing the ITCH application).

1. When the issue happens minimize ITCH
2. On your MAC applications tool bar you will see a SERATO VIDEO icon.
RIGHTCLICK this icon and click QUIT. It will close the Video Plugin.
3. Go back to ITCH and re-open the Video Plugin Window.
4. Continue playing video files.

Thanks :)
