midi problem 1.8.1

i have been using a faderfox midi-controller with last version (1.8.0) without any problem. i just couldn't save my midi templates because that problem with non-english windows versions.

i install new version (1.8.1) and the midi doesn't work anymore. i press midi button to assign my midi controller to the functions but it seems that serato doesn't recognize the faderfox. i've re-installed serato several times and nothing, but if i re-install version 1.8.0 again it works fine.

as i told before i'm using serato with windowsxp (spanish version)

i'm supposed to make something else to set up midi in this new version? what can be wrong?

people with 1.8.1 can use midi normally?

Hi Samuel,

if the problem isn't there in 1.8.0 that would point to a bug in 1.8.1

we'll check it out and probably come back with some questions for you.

echey, if you go back to 1.8.0 is the problem fixed for you?

I am having the same issue with 1.8.1, win xp, english (where my midi mappings are randomly disappearing). In fact, I had the same issue with 1.8.0 and upgraded to 1.8.1 hoping it would fix things. Nope. Still broke.

with 1.8.0 i can map my midi controller (faderfox) but i can not save any template so i have to make it each gig. that's really horrible and i normally don't use midi because is so hard to map all midi controls each time during the gig.

with 1.8.1 i can save templates (i don't know if it works fine but i saw i can save them), but i can not map my midi controller, i press midi button and it seems serato doesn't recognize it.

is this a bug that could be fixed soon?
