BAM!

I'm curious, I have the same problem and renamed the database V2 file and ran Windows 7 diagnostics, but I'm still getting the same error message. Were you able to cure the problem? Any advice?
Paul Natto 11:16 PM - 7 August, 2012
After I get the error message, my crates load alright and have not lost any functions. My library is 13,000.
Tariq Salem 11:58 PM - 7 August, 2012
I haven't tried it myself yet as I have been using my sl3 in the mean time. My library is over 50000 so I hope its not an issue when i do try

Boss Sounds, seriously, if you have nothing productive to contribute, don't. A prototypical internet troll would generate more productive post than the majority of the content you've placed here.

That said, do you have the FX hardware connected by any chance?

Additionally, have you tried deleting or renaming the _Serato_ folder entirely and starting fresh just to see what happens?

Hi Everybody,
Here is what has happened since I've logged in last:
1.) I'm running a Sony Vaio VGN-310F computer-4G RAM 64Bit OS
2.) Optimized the system to Serato's specs
3.) Turned off internal camera
4.) Tried all USB ports with different cords
5.) Re-Analyed all files and found no corrupt files
6.) Ran DPC report
7.) Checked APCI Battery

And the same error message continues to display when turning ITCH off.

After all of that done, I sent the laptop to a tech to have him strip the garbage from the OS Windows 7, Reinstall the OS Windows 7.

I downloaded the ITCH program from Serato (which is the only application that's running on the laptop, hooked up the Hardware, played about 30 minutes and closed the ITCH program and the same message appears.

Please see the attached files and advise.

after you get this error message does your crates load OK

the reason for this message is because of big music libraries the safe number of music to carry is around 28,000 music files..... any higher will cause loading issues but only on windows

This is not true in the slightest. It may have more to do with the amount of RAM you have - but I doubt even that. I only have 8 GB of DDR3 and I'm 100,000+ files strong. PLUS video. Windows 64-bit - But I'm also an i7.

I've read that you should have at least 20-30% of your hard drive free for the pre-load for songs and what not - I've never come that close with space.

Spec wise Paul - you're running it kinda close with the 64-bit system - but how much ram does your PC have? in 64 bit Windows 7 - the more the better. And it looks like you max to 8. Specs?

thats also for OP Tariq - ha.

RAM above 4GB REALLY won't make a difference with ITCH. It's a 32-bit process. It can't allocate more than 32-bits of addressing space.

someone did find that if you try different screen resolutions you will find one where itch will not crash on exit. defo a strange one. when you close itch look at your desktop icons they all kind of flicker/wobble even all dissapear and come back, so i think something in itch for windows is messing the explorer. try it out and see how you get on.

thats bull I'm running on my desktop an i7 3ghz 16b ram and I have this issue and I have 120,000 songs.... itch crashes every time it starts to load but when I run scratch live on the same system it loads fine all my songs are 320kbps too

I mean - I've got no real reason to lie about such a thing. Check my model - I'm not working with anything crazy other than what I've stated (Sony VPCF221FX)

and Itch may be 32 bits - but in a 64 bit OS - that ram will make a differences in the OS's performance - thus improving itch's stability.
