Right, so basically on certain points of the record, it will skip and sometimes skip so much it will mess up my mixing. I've only had the vinyls for a month and I don't scratch much so I don't see how I could have worn them out that quickly? I have Ortofon Concorde Pro Silver cartridges that are set to 4 as recommended but maybe that is too much weight? I don't know.

Hey DeeeNBee,

Is it skipping when you are scratching or just mixing?
Are you noticing a yellow, orange, or red USB light coming on at the top of the screen?

No it's not the usb as that used to happen on my old pc. I think the vinyl might be warped. Any other explanations?

Is it skipping when your scratching or just mixing?

Is it always happening in a particular area of the vinyl?

Are you seeing good solid circles in the scope views and are you getting close to 100% tracking (found in the lower right corner of the scope views)?

It always happens at the same points on the vinyl. The scopes are ok I think.

If it always happens at the same point in the vinyl it may be record wear on that particular part of the vinyl, there is an actual cut in the groove, the height and weight of your tone arm is not correct for the needle/cartridge you're using, or the tone arm is bent or broken.
I would try using different vinyl and/or turntables.
