Serato Software Feature Suggestions

What features would you like to see in Serato software?

color label reverse

AKIEM 10:08 PM - 29 October, 2005
I know this is just one element of the "color" discussion, but...

I would like to see the label reversible, I want the option of a white sticker on a black label. I think it would be essayer to read and it would better match the cv02, black label, white sticker.

kinda makes sense. traditionally, the vinyl is black and you would put a white sticker on it wouldn't you?

I am with it.

I agree, the black on the labels now is just kinda muddy lookin color
DJVigor 2:37 AM - 28 March, 2006
im confused
draw it in paint
AKIEM 4:33 AM - 28 March, 2006
why yes,
metalfacerecords.net

I believe this would look cleaner, and it would also match the control vinyl. white clock sticker on black label. I dont think anyones mind has problems switching back and forth, but this would be closer

definitley looks more professional! The whole GUI looks cleaner...can't explain why!? But how would this work with the colored labels?
AKIEM 7:58 PM - 28 March, 2006
the reason that it looks cleaner is that the two white circles surounded by the greys and reds and with the sweeping clock is going to look muddy. If the entire gui was white the whole thing would look cleaner, not suggesting that tho. and the sweeping white sticker will look cleaner because it will look as if it is glowing. Its been a while since any color theory class, but...

and I think this will work fine with the color labels, all of them are 100% combonations of r g b

im with you on that.
cappinkirk 8:07 PM - 20 June, 2007
yeah but you would have to have a universal text color so that would not work. if the color for text was white for example, and its on black it looks good. if it is on red it is fine. if it is on yellow you can't read it.
AKIEM 8:21 PM - 20 June, 2007
when you have a yellow colored file the label looks like yellow+white
(thats why we get the lovely pastels)

so reversed would be yellow+black which would be fine with white text
cappinkirk 8:27 PM - 20 June, 2007
so pastels only then would be acceptable
AKIEM 8:35 PM - 20 June, 2007
huh?
all there is, is pastels now
AKIEM 8:41 PM - 20 June, 2007
if you used black instead of white, no pastels
cappinkirk 8:43 PM - 20 June, 2007
i apologize for my misunderstanding
AKIEM 8:51 PM - 20 June, 2007
no prob, maybe some DJs like the pastels? :)

(: fuzzy pink :) instead of [dark blood]

I've been thinking about this also! Would make more sense and the GUI looks better. This one should be easy to implement Serato!?
AKIEM 7:35 PM - 2 January, 2008
yup, this couldnt be that hard to do.
I know the white circles 'represent' Serato branding... but I think the BLACK circles could work too
sweetL 11:35 AM - 3 January, 2008
GOOD call.
